Hey There, Nice to Meet You

First off, let me happily welcome you to my new Karmic Security website! I highly doubt you remember the old one, it was a while ago and very messy. This new and improved version will (hopefully) allow me to stay on top of making content and just generally do cooler things.

WIth all that being said, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kaleb and I am an upcoming cyber security professional. I say upcoming as I am not quite one yet (technically), but I already feel like it sometimes.

My Background

Even though I am not currently sitting in a cyber security position, for the last 5 years I’ve actually been working in the military intelligence space. I’m more of an intel analyst type, but I don’t just say that I’m a cyber professional without anything to back it up. I have my bachelors in Cyber Operations, am working towards my masters in Cyber Security at Georgia Tech and possess a few certifications to include:

  • Security+

  • Linux+

  • Cybersecurity Analyst+

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate

  • Certified Ethical Hacker

  • Red Hat Certified System Admin

Obviously, I am by no means an expert or anything really close, but I like to think I know a few things. Additionally, working in intel, basic IT skills are kind of a necessity and learning more increases your effectiveness as an analyst a pretty signifigant amount. I’ve done my fair share of network troubleshooting, Linux sys adminy type work and traffic analysis. If you are interested in my actual resume, feel free to email me and I can provide you with that.
